The Part-Time Loan Processor will provide support by managing the administrative and operational side of the loan process. The ideal candidate has prior experience processing hard money loans, private lending deals, construction loans, or fix-and-flip financing and understands the terminology, documentation, and workflows required to move loans from application through closing. In addition to loan processing responsibilities, this role will provide administrative support for a personal real estate portfolio, including managing insurance paperwork, lease documentation, and other property-related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own the loan processing workflow from initial documentation collection through underwriting readiness
- Request, collect, organize, and review borrower documentation required for loan approval
- Follow up with borrowers, brokers, and other stakeholders to obtain missing information quickly
- Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and properly prepared for underwriting and closing
- Maintain organized records and documentation throughout the loan lifecycle
- Identify missing items, potential issues, and bottlenecks before they delay closings
- Communicate proactively with the lending team regarding file status and next steps
- Manage regular communication with borrowers to collect outstanding documents
- Provide timely updates and follow-ups to keep deals moving forward
- Build strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with administrative tasks related to a personal real estate portfolio
- Manage insurance renewals, policy documentation, and related paperwork
- Organize lease agreements, property documents, and general administrative files
- Support other operational tasks as needed to improve efficiency
Requirements
~1 min read- 2+ years of experience as a loan processor, mortgage processor, lending coordinator, or similar role
- Direct experience with hard money lending, private lending, construction loans, fix-and-flip loans, or real estate investment lending
- Strong understanding of lending terminology, documentation requirements, and loan processing workflows
- Experience managing borrower documentation and ensuring files are complete for underwriting
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, deadline-driven business
- Experience working with hard money lenders, private lenders, or real estate investment firms
- Experience supporting multiple loans simultaneously
- Familiarity with investor-focused lending processes
- Administrative experience managing real estate portfolios or property documentation
