Our client is a premier packaging importer and distributor headquartered in Simi Valley, California. The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality, custom-branded food service packaging nationwide. With production centered primarily in Taiwan and containers pre-ordered 8 to 12 weeks in advance, the company manages a fast-paced, high-volume supply chain importing nearly daily to meet customer demand. The U.S. operations team works closely alongside the manufacturing team in Asia to deliver exceptional reliability, accuracy, and customer satisfaction as the business rapidly expands.
As a Dedicated Logistics Coordinator & PO Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's daily operations. You will own the end-to-end processing of customer purchase orders (POs), coordinate freight and domestic LTL shipments, and maintain clear status communications across internal teams, carriers, and customers. This is a 100% remote, full-time, dedicated position acting as a core operational engine so the local U.S. team can focus on high-level growth strategies.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Receive, input, and manage daily high-frequency POs (scaling from 3 to 8 per day) into the internal ERP and inventory management systems.
- →Rigorously verify pricing, quantities, product specifications, and terms against existing catalog rates and internal rules before submitting orders for approval.
- →Prepare fully validated POs for internal sign-off and follow up to ensure swift processing timelines.
- →Coordinate booking, scheduling, and tracking for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and domestic trucking carriers post-arrival.
- →Proactively monitor shipment timelines and mitigate delays across third-party logistics (3PL) partners and carriers.
- →Track inbound ocean container status originating from manufacturing partners in Taiwan.
- →Handle heavy email-based workflows (approx. 98% of communications), providing timely shipment status updates to customers and suppliers.
- →Maintain continuous daily communication with internal leads and offshore teams using Kakao and WhatsApp.
- →Ensure accurate documentation across all workflow stages to prevent errors or missed updates.
Requirements
~1 min read- Prior experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, order entry, or supply chain administration.
- Strong familiarity with LTL freight terminology, domestic trucking processes, and shipping documentation.
- Outstanding written English communication skills for handling professional email correspondence.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory software, and internal messaging platforms like Kakao and WhatsApp.
- High accuracy and attention to detail in entering complex numerical data (quantities, pricing, product IDs).
- Absolute commitment to a single full-time role (no multitasking or dual employment).
