Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an exceptional overseas operator to run the execution engine behind our product development and supply chain.

This role is responsible for turning product ideas into shipped containers. You will coordinate factories, manage production timelines, control costs, maintain product data, and ensure shipments leave on schedule.

The ideal candidate is highly proactive, intellectually curious, and solution-oriented—someone who does not simply execute tasks but thinks deeply about problems and drives better outcomes.

You will act as the operational bridge between our U.S. team and overseas factories, ensuring projects move forward with speed, precision, and accountability.

What This Role Owns

This role owns the execution layer of the entire product lifecycle:

Concept → Sampling → Costing → Production → Shipment

You are responsible for making sure the system works.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Execution Leadership: You will manage the daily operational relationship with overseas factories.

Responsibilities include:

  • driving production timelines
  • resolving production issues quickly
  • coordinating sample development and revisions
  • ensuring factories meet quality and delivery expectations
  • Factories must view you as the person responsible for making projects happen.

Production & Project Management: You will manage multiple product development and production projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities include:

  • tracking development and production schedules
  • coordinating internal and factory milestones
  • identifying risks before they become delays
  • ensuring projects move forward without waiting for direction
  • Strong project ownership and execution discipline are essential.

Product Costing & Margin Control: You will build and maintain detailed cost structures for each product.

Responsibilities include:

  • analyzing factory quotations
  • validating component and material costs
  • ensuring products meet margin targets
  • maintaining accurate landed cost calculations
  • This role requires both operational precision and commercial awareness.

Product Data Ownership: You will manage the accuracy and organization of all product information.

This includes:

  • product specifications
  • packaging information
  • carton dimensions and weights
  • pricing and cost data
  • shipment information
  • Accurate product data ensures the entire organization operates efficiently.

Sourcing & Vendor Development: You will support the identification and evaluation of factory partners capable of producing new products.

Responsibilities include:

  • managing factory communication
  • gathering quotes and production timelines
  • coordinating development samples
  • assisting with supplier negotiations when needed
  • Your goal is to ensure we partner with factories capable of speed, quality, and competitive costs.

Logistics & Shipping Coordination: You will coordinate production completion and shipment readiness with factories and logistics partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • confirming production timelines
  • coordinating shipment bookings
  • verifying carton packing details
  • supporting container optimization
  • The goal is simple: products ship on time without surprises.

Minimum Requirements:

Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills

Education: Bachelor's Degree (ideally)

Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Must have gained 5+ years of experience in:

  • overseas sourcing
  • production coordination
  • product development operations
  • factory management
  • logistics and shipping coordination

Ideally coming from the below industries:

  • home décor
  • home goods
  • consumer products
  • furniture
  • lifestyle products

Ideal experience includes:

  • working directly with Asian factories
  • managing production timelines
  • coordinating container shipments
  • operating in high-SKU product environments

How We Expect You to Think

This role requires more than execution. It requires strong thinking and ownership.

  • The right candidate is:
    • Proactive
    • You anticipate issues before they occur.
    • You do not wait for instructions—you drive progress and momentum.
    • A Deep Thinker
  • You look beyond immediate tasks and ask:
    • What is causing this issue?
    • How can we improve the system?
    • How can we prevent this from happening again?
    • You continuously improve how the operation runs.

Solution-Oriented

  • When problems arise, you focus on solutions.
  • You bring ideas, alternatives, and clear recommendations rather than simply reporting issues.

Highly Accountable

  • You take ownership of outcomes.
  • Projects under your responsibility move forward and get completed.

Signals You Might Be the Right Person

  • You might thrive in this role if:
    • you enjoy solving operational challenges
    • you are extremely detail oriented
    • you think critically about systems and processes
    • you naturally take ownership of projects
    • you enjoy working across cultures and time zones

How Success Is Measured

  • Key metrics include:
    • on-time production completion
    • on-time shipment performance
    • accuracy of product data and costing
    • margin protection
    • overall speed of project execution

Why This Role Matters
