About the Company:

We are a Florida-based civil construction company specializing in grading, paving, and underground utility work. With multiple active job sites and a fast-moving field team, we pride ourselves on execution—but are now investing heavily in operational structure, visibility, and scalability. Currently, project management and back-office operations are handled by the owner and a small team, leading to overload and gaps in tracking, coordination, and follow-through. We are hiring a Remote Project Manager to bring structure, visibility, and control to our operations.

About the Role:

Your mission is to bring order to chaos and make sure every project stays on track and stays profitable. You won't just be watching from the sidelines, you’ll be the essential link between the office and the field, managing everything from 3D models and high-tech equipment to the daily costs of labor and fuel. 

We need a proactive "builder" who can spot problems before they happen and keep our crews moving. If you have a high-ownership mentality and love the fast-paced world of construction, this is your chance to lead our most important projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Costing & Financial Tracking

• Track daily production across active job sites
• Monitor:
  • Labor productivity
  • Equipment usage
  • Fuel spend
• Convert field activity into accurate billable units
• Provide visibility into job profitability and cost drivers

Preconstruction & Project Coordination

• Ensure all projects are set up for success before execution:
  • Schedule surveys
  • Coordinate 3D machine control models
  • Line up vendors and subcontractors
• Proactively identify gaps before they become issues

Vendor Sourcing & Logistics

• Source vendors in new or unfamiliar geographies:
  • Dumpsters
  • Concrete coring
  • Hauling
  • Specialty services
• Gather pricing and coordinate scheduling

Field Communication & Support

• Act as a central hub for communication between office and field
• Monitor and respond to group chat communications
• Help answer questions, track issues, and ensure follow-through
• Keep projects moving forward without delays

Scheduling & Task Management

• Track project timelines and upcoming needs
• Ensure crews, equipment, and resources are properly aligned
• Proactively manage upcoming milestones and dependencies

What We’re Looking For:

Required

• 3+ years of experience in:
  • Construction project management, OR
  • Construction operations / coordination
• Strong understanding of:
  • Job costing
  • Field operations
  • Construction workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (6–10 active jobs)

Preferred

• Experience working with civil construction or site development projects
• Familiarity with:
  • Scheduling tools
  • Construction management platforms
  • Remote coordination with field teams
