CPA Firm Liaison: Organize clean books and deliver background documentation to support the external CPA firm during annual tax filings, 1099 processing, and K-1 generation.

Cross-Functional Syncs: Collaborate with retail, e-commerce, wholesale, and operations teams to gather the source documentation (POS data, merchant settlements, fulfillment costs) needed to preserve bookkeeping accuracy.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, paired with 5+ years of progressive accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience. A CPA designation is a significant plus but not required.

System Mastery: Deep, hands-on proficiency navigating QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a non-negotiable requirement.

Multi-Entity Competency: Proven experience maintaining books for multiple distinct legal entities, including handling inter-company reconciliations and consolidated reporting frameworks.

Technical Accounting Skills: Strong working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, inventory tracking, and state-level sales tax filing workflows.

Data Modeling: Advanced Excel / Google Sheets capabilities (experience with pivot tables, formulas, and multi-tab linked workbooks).

Software Familiarity: Prior experience with Bill.com, ADP, and retail/e-commerce platforms (Lightspeed, Shopify, WooCommerce) is highly preferred.

Modern Tooling Integration: Demonstrated experience using AI tools inside bookkeeping or accounting workflows. Candidates must be able to highlight specific tools they have personally utilized and the measurable results achieved—such as accelerated close timelines, automated transaction categorization, automated reconciliations, or intelligent document handling.
