Our client is a specialized, full-service marketing agency dedicated to supporting complex organizations—both public and private—at pivotal stages of growth.
A core pillar of the agency’s business is corporate and investor communications for publicly listed companies. In this space, design is not merely decorative; it serves as a critical strategic tool to translate complex data, financial messaging, and business objectives into clear, highly credible visual narratives for sophisticated investors and stakeholders.
About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking a Senior Designer who brings the strategic clarity, visual rigor, and judgment of a Creative Lead.
This is not an execution-only design role where layouts are pre-packaged or "spoon-fed." You will be expected to take loose, high-level briefs or raw business objectives, determine the underlying communication goals, and independently architect the visual strategy, hierarchy, and final execution.
As a cornerstone member of the agency's creative team, you will elevate the overall quality of creative output, act as a trusted creative authority, and mentor junior design staff to help scale the agency’s capabilities.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Interpret High-Level Briefs: Translate vague or incomplete briefs into strategically aligned, visually sophisticated design solutions without requiring micro-managed direction.
- Establish Visual Hierarchy: Structure complex, information-heavy content into clean, digestible layouts that guide the reader’s focus effortlessly.
- Strategic Communication: Ensure all design decisions directly reinforce the client's corporate messaging, audience needs, and overarching business objectives.
- Creative Quality Control: Proactively challenge weak design concepts and introduce stronger visual solutions across all agency collateral.
- Investor-Focused Design: Produce high-end corporate communications (e.g., pitch decks, annual reports, investor presentations, corporate one-pagers) tailored to shareholders and financial analysts.
- Clarity & Credibility: Balance visual innovation with the restraint, professionalism, and structure expected by publicly traded companies.
- Data Visualization: Transform dense numerical or operational information into clean, intuitive graphics and charts.
- Brand Development: Create comprehensive visual identity systems, logos, typography stacks, and color palettes for emerging and established brands.
- Guideline Expansion: Apply and expand existing brand guidelines seamlessly across new mediums and asset types.
- UI/UX Fundamentals: Conceptualize and design responsive web layouts, digital assets, and interactive experiences in Figma.
- Digital Brand Alignment: Ensure digital applications maintain absolute visual parity with print and corporate identity standards.
- Editorial Mastery: Design print collateral, corporate whitepapers, brochures, and multi-page reports with meticulous attention to grid systems and typography.
- Pre-Press Precision: Prepare flawless, production-ready files for commercial print environments.
- Junior Designer Mentorship: Provide ongoing art direction, design guidance, and constructive feedback to junior design team members (including an existing full-time junior designer).
- Process Elevation: Assist in refining internal design workflows, asset management, and quality assurance standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in graphic design, visual hierarchy, and brand execution within a fast-paced agency or corporate environment.
- Core Software Mastery: High proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Multi-Disciplinary Design Portfolio: Demonstrated expertise spanning identity/logo design, heavy print/editorial layouts, and modern web/digital UI design.
- Independent Problem Solving: Ability to self-direct from brief to execution, solving structural and visual challenges independently.
- English Fluency: Exceptional verbal and written English skills (near-native or native level) for seamless daily collaboration.
- Remote Work Experience: Self-motivated and disciplined enough to thrive in a fully remote environment during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
- Financial & Investor Comms Background: Prior experience designing for publicly listed companies, investor relations (IR), corporate communications, or capital markets (e.g., mining, energy, tech, or finance sectors).
- Mentorship Experience: Previous experience managing, art directing, or formalizing feedback for junior or intermediate designers.
- Client-Facing Aptitude: Though client interaction is not a primary duty, the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to non-design stakeholders is highly valued.
- Within 30 Days: You seamlessly take ownership of incoming loose briefs, eliminating the need for senior leadership to pre-architect layouts or dictate design directions.
- Within 90 Days: You elevate the visual consistency and standard of all investor materials while actively guiding and mentoring the junior designer.
- Within 6 Months: You become the agency’s go-to creative lead for complex corporate brand packages and web projects, serving as a pillar for long-term agency growth.
