Reports To: Philippines Country Leader
Our client is a growing U.S.-based healthcare services company with a significant operational presence in the Philippines. The Philippine organization currently has approximately 50 employees and has become a core part of the company's business.
The team originally operated as a back-office support function but has since evolved into a broader healthcare services operation supporting companies across the United States.
Today, the organization's largest service offering is healthcare recruiting. The Philippine team supports U.S. healthcare organizations by recruiting healthcare professionals. In addition to recruiting, the organization supports a variety of other healthcare-related functions, including healthcare insurance operations, call center functions, scheduling, administrative support, and other client-specific operational services.
The business effectively operates as a specialized healthcare services and BPO organization, providing dedicated teams and operational support to healthcare companies across the United States.
The company is continuing to grow and has an ambitious goal of scaling the Philippine organization from approximately 50 employees today to 500 employees over time.
To support that growth, the company is looking for a Senior Operations Manager who can strengthen the existing operation, improve service delivery, develop the management team, and build the operational infrastructure needed to scale successfully.
About the Role
~2 min readThe Senior Operations Manager will be a key member of the Philippine leadership team and will report directly to the most senior leader in the Philippine organization.
Several managers will report into this position, with responsibility across different functions including healthcare recruiting, healthcare insurance operations, call center functions, scheduling, and other client-facing operational services.
This is not a traditional corporate operations role. This is a senior, high-ownership position in a scrappy, growing organization where the person in this role will have significant responsibility and autonomy.
There are not multiple layers of operations leadership or a large team of people performing the same function. This person will be the senior operations leader responsible for making the operation work. They will need to be comfortable figuring things out, building processes where they don't exist, solving problems independently, and taking ownership of outcomes without waiting for someone else to provide the answer.
The U.S.-based leadership team will provide strategic direction, and the Philippines Country Leader will provide additional guidance and priorities. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for turning that strategy into execution across the organization.
This person will be expected to bring structure, accountability, and operational discipline to the business while remaining hands-on enough to understand what is actually happening on the ground.
Operational excellence is directly tied to the company's ability to grow.
The business wins and retains clients by providing excellent service. As the organization has grown, there has been a need to significantly strengthen the operational execution and consistency of the services being delivered.
For example, on the healthcare recruiting side, the opportunity is not simply to recruit more people — it is to improve the operational strength, consistency, quality, and delivery of the existing recruiting service so that clients receive a better experience and the business can confidently take on more clients.
The Senior Operations Manager will therefore have a direct impact on growth. The expectation is that this person will help turn a good foundation into a high-performing operation capable of delivering exceptional service at scale.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Oversee several managers responsible for different healthcare service functions.
- Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to managers and their teams.
- Ensure each department has clear goals, KPIs, processes, and performance expectations.
- Create alignment across teams with different clients, workflows, and operational requirements.

- Take ownership of the overall health and performance of the operation.
- Take strategic direction from senior leadership and translate it into clear execution plans.
- Turn broad objectives into specific priorities, processes, owners, and deadlines.
- Hold managers accountable for execution and results.
- Follow through on initiatives until they are fully implemented and producing results.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and independently determine how to solve them.
- Establish a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Step into the details when necessary rather than simply delegating problems downward.
- Evaluate how existing services are being delivered and identify opportunities to improve quality, consistency, speed, and efficiency.
- Strengthen operational processes across healthcare recruiting, insurance, call center, and other service lines.
- Establish clear service-level expectations and performance standards.
- Monitor client-facing performance and address issues before they become larger problems.
- Build systems that allow teams to consistently deliver excellent service.

- Identify what needs to be standardized and what should remain flexible.
- Solve problems with the resources available rather than waiting for perfect conditions.
- Be willing to test, iterate, and improve processes quickly.
- Operate effectively in an environment where priorities can shift and not every answer will be clearly defined.
- Work closely with U.S.-based leadership to execute company priorities.
- Translate U.S. strategy and client requirements into clear plans for the Philippine teams.
- Communicate operational performance, challenges, and opportunities back to senior leadership.
- Ensure the Philippine operation remains aligned with broader company goals.
- Provide leadership with clear visibility into what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
We are looking for a true operations professional — someone who is naturally wired for execution and who takes extreme ownership of their work.
This is not the right role for someone who has spent their career in a large organization where responsibilities are narrowly divided among many layers of management. We need someone who is comfortable being the person who figures it out.
The ideal candidate is:
- Sharp, highly organized, and exceptionally execution-oriented.
- A high-ownership operator who takes responsibility for outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment with limited bureaucracy and significant autonomy.
- Someone who can walk into an ambiguous situation, identify the problem, develop a solution, and execute it.
- A strong people leader who knows how to manage managers and leaders, not just individual contributors.
- Comfortable being the primary operations leader rather than one of many people performing the same function.
- Naturally focused on processes, accountability, KPIs, quality, and measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable getting into the details when necessary.
- Able to take broad strategic direction and turn it into concrete action.
- Proactive enough to identify problems before being asked to solve them.
- Strong enough operationally to challenge existing processes and introduce better ways of working.
- Focused on service quality and understands the connection between excellent operations, client satisfaction, retention, and business growth.
