About the Role: As our SEO Manager, you will be the absolute owner of our organic search strategy. You won't just be chasing arbitrary traffic metrics; you will be responsible for driving high-intent, hungry customers down our sales funnels. If you know how to navigate Shopify Plus’s unique architectural quirks, outsmart enterprise competitors in the SERPs, and turn recipe blogs into revenue drivers, you’ll fit right in.
About the Company: A growing food industry company managing two organic food brands powered by Shopify Plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical SEO & Shopify Plus Optimization: Conduct routine technical audits to optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and handle platform-specific indexing, canonicalization, and URL redirect logic across both store domains.
- Content Strategy & Intent Mapping: Lead comprehensive keyword research targeting consumer trends in the organic food, clean-label, and wellness spaces. Partner with creative teams to optimize product descriptions, collection pages, and recipe/lifestyle blogs.
- Structured Data & Rich Snippets: Implement advanced schema markup (such as Recipe, Product, Review, and FAQ schemas) to win rich snippets, image search real estate, and visual search features.
- Link Building & Digital PR: Develop and execute white-hat off-page strategies to earn high-authority backlinks through industry partnerships, food/wellness bloggers, and lifestyle media outlets.
- Performance Analytics & Tracking: Track, analyze, and report on organic revenue, keyword rankings, traffic patterns, and overall ROI using GA4, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO software.
- Algorithm & Trend Adaptability: Monitor search engine algorithm changes and emerging search trends (including AI-driven search engines) to proactively pivot strategies for both brands.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 to 5+ years of proven experience working as an SEO Manager, or in a similar digital marketing role.
- Experience optimizing websites for e-commerce platforms (Shopify experience is highly preferred).
- Familiarity with standard search engine optimization tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and basic keyword research software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, or web properties at the same time.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.
- Basic ability to analyze website traffic, track performance metrics, and understand data.
