Shipping Specialist - 19877

Our client, a company focused on enhancing the home with grace, style, and functionality through wholesale distribution, is seeking an experienced Shipping Specialist to manage high-volume international freight operations.

This role is centered on container-level shipments (not parcel or LTL logistics) and requires deep expertise in exporting from China into the United States, including documentation, freight coordination, and compliance. The operation is fast-paced, handling approximately 100–200 containers per month, with the majority originating from China.

The primary function of this role is to manage and execute end-to-end international container shipments from China to the U.S., ensuring accuracy in documentation, coordination with freight forwarders, and timely movement of goods.

• Manage high-volume container shipments (100–200/month) from China to the United States

• Coordinate directly with freight forwarders and logistics partners

• Ensure smooth execution of FCL (Full Container Load) shipments only

• Oversee shipment scheduling, routing, and delivery timelines

• Prepare and manage key shipping documents including:

  • Bills of Lading

  • Commercial Invoices

  • Packing Lists

• Ensure all documentation meets international shipping and customs requirements

• Maintain accuracy and compliance across all export paperwork

• Act as subject matter expert for China export logistics into the U.S. market

• Navigate complexities of international trade relationships and shipping constraints

• Ensure shipments are properly structured for customs clearance and entry into the U.S.

• Utilize Odoo ERP to manage shipping workflows and documentation

• Maintain accurate shipment records and system updates

• Support process optimization across logistics operations

• 5–8 years of experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or global logistics

• MUST have direct experience exporting from China into the United States

• Strong experience handling container shipments (FCL only) at scale

• Deep knowledge of export documentation and international trade compliance

• Experience working with freight forwarders and shipping agents

• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a high-volume environment

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Experience with Odoo ERP system

• Background working in wholesale, manufacturing, or import/export businesses

• Familiarity with high-volume container operations (100+ shipments/month)
