Our client is a growing finance-focused organization supporting a range of operational and investment activities. The accounting function plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance across all financial processes.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and reporting. This role works closely with the accounting team and is responsible for core accounting functions including reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end close support.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of reviewing their own work before submission. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can operate independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Post journal entries, calculate accruals, and amortize prepaid expenses
- Perform variance analysis to support accurate reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts to internal POS systems
- Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Ensure financial data integrity across systems and reports
- Assist with sales tax preparation and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting-related issues
- Stay up to date on accounting standards and ensure adherence to best practices
- Contribute to special projects as required by the accounting team
Required Hard Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
