The company is currently undergoing a strategic evolution, intentionally focusing on its strongest core capabilities while building a more efficient and scalable foundation for future growth. As part of this strategy, they are seeking a Technical Paid Media Manager who can bring strong hands-on execution, analytical thinking, and technical paid media expertise to the team.
About the Role:
The Technical Paid Media Manager will be responsible for the hands-on management, optimization, tracking, and analysis of paid media campaigns across franchise and multi-unit client accounts.
This is not simply a campaign coordination role. The ideal candidate should be technically strong within advertising platforms, comfortable troubleshooting tracking and performance issues, and capable of independently identifying opportunities to improve campaign efficiency.
The successful candidate will combine paid media execution with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help the company deliver measurable client results while operating efficiently and profitably.
Role Responsibilities:
Paid Media Management
- Build, launch, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns across client accounts
- Manage campaigns designed to generate qualified leads and support franchise growth
- Monitor campaign performance and make ongoing optimizations based on data
- Manage targeting, audiences, bidding strategies, budgets, placements, and campaign structures
- Conduct A/B testing across creative, messaging, audiences, and campaign configurations
- Ensure campaigns remain aligned with client objectives and performance targets
Technical Campaign Execution
- Own the technical setup and ongoing health of paid advertising campaigns
- Configure and troubleshoot conversion tracking
- Validate pixels, tags, events, and attribution configurations
- Identify tracking discrepancies and resolve technical campaign issues
- Ensure campaign data is accurate and reliable for optimization and reporting
- Troubleshoot platform, tracking, or integration issues that may impact performance
Performance Optimization
- Analyze campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and underperforming areas
- Optimize campaigns around metrics such as:
- Cost per lead
- Cost per acquisition
- Conversion rate
- Click-through rate
- Cost per click
- Return on ad spend
- Recommend budget reallocations based on performance
- Identify opportunities to improve lead quality while controlling acquisition costs
- Continuously test new strategies to improve overall campaign efficiency
Franchise & Multi-Unit Marketing
- Support paid media strategies for franchise and multi-location organizations
- Understand the differences between corporate, franchise development, and location-level marketing objectives
- Help generate demand and qualified opportunities across multiple markets
- Adapt targeting and campaign strategies based on geography, audience, and franchise growth objectives
- Maintain consistency while managing campaigns across multiple locations or markets
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor campaign performance and maintain accurate reporting
- Translate complex advertising data into clear, actionable insights
- Identify performance trends and communicate recommendations proactively
- Provide internal teams with clear explanations of campaign performance
- Flag performance concerns early and recommend corrective actions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with strategy, creative, content, and account management teams
- Translate campaign performance into actionable feedback for creative teams
- Coordinate advertising requirements, assets, and launch timelines
- Support broader marketing strategies with paid media insights
- Communicate clearly and proactively in a fully remote environment
Process & Efficiency Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline paid media workflows
- Build repeatable processes for campaign setup, optimization, QA, and reporting
- Help improve the efficiency and scalability of paid media operations
- Document best practices and campaign management procedures
- Leverage automation and technology where appropriate to improve productivity without sacrificing quality
Requirements:
- Has at least 3 years of hands-on paid media experience
- Proven experience independently managing digital advertising campaigns
- Strong technical understanding of paid media platforms and campaign infrastructure
- Experience with conversion tracking, pixels, tags, events, and attribution
- Strong understanding of campaign optimization and performance marketing metrics
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing toward measurable business outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical marketing concepts clearly
- Strong attention to detail and campaign QA skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and professional remote work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with franchise brands
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-unit businesses
- Agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Lead generation campaign experience
- Experience working with geographically segmented campaigns
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM integrations
- Experience improving paid media workflows through automation or AI tools
