About Us
We are on a mission to empower teams to ship faster and continuously improve their products. We're a profitable, bootstrapped company building an open source alternative to larger venture-backed competitors. Profitability and sustainability are how we stay in control of our destiny.
Our growth comes from helping larger teams take control of their release processes. We work across all industries but have the biggest impact in high-risk environments like financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and high-tech manufacturing. Our net retention rates speak for themselves.
Our team spans multiple continents and is 100% remote, with deep roots in engineering and a strong focus on product quality, simplicity, and community. We are filled with team members who have been searching to have impact, and larger scope as opposed to being a cog at a large organisation!
About the Role
~1 min readCompany products are used by engineering teams who care deeply about how their tools work. We need a designer who understands that audience and can make a technically complex product feel simple. You'll own design end-to-end across the company platform and our public-facing web properties — from maintaining the design system to running customer interviews to shipping features alongside engineers.
This is a high-ownership role in a small, fully remote team. You won't be handing off mockups and moving on, you'll be close to the code, close to customers, and involved in decisions about what we build and why. If you've been looking for a role where your design work has a direct, visible impact on the product and the business, this is it.
This role is fully remote, but the candidate should be based in a timezone between UTC-5 and UTC+5.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own the design system. Maintain and evolve the design system across all company applications and our public website. Keep things consistent, scalable, and on-brand as the product grows.
- →Design user journeys. Research, design, and iterate on the flows that matter most to our technical users. Measure what's working and fix what isn't.
- →Shape features with customers. Work directly with key customers and engineering to gather feedback, run interviews, and turn complex requirements into easy-to-use features.
- Product sense. You've designed and shipped real software products, ideally in developer tools or B2B SaaS. You think in terms of user outcomes, not just screens.
- Design and front-end tooling. You're fluent in Figma, comfortable with Storybook, and can work with SCSS & Bootstrap. You move easily between design tools and the front-end codebase.
- Code literacy. You can read and write TypeScript. You understand enough about component architecture and front-end performance to have productive conversations with engineers, and to know when a design is going to cause problems in implementation.
- 5 years+ of relevant experience
- You have strong design taste and can articulate why something works, not just that it looks good. You bring opinions to the table and back them up.
- You default to shipping over polishing. You know when a design is good enough to learn from and when it needs more time.
- You build real relationships with customers. You pick up on what they're actually optimising for, not just what they say they want.
- You set your own priorities and keep stakeholders in the loop without being chased. In a small team, that's how trust gets built.
