We are a growing insurance operation specializing in workers’ compensation insurance. Due to continued growth and a high volume of workers’ compensation policies, our team is looking to hire a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Audit Specialist to support clients through the audit process.
This role will become a key extension of the internal team, helping clients understand audit requirements, collect necessary documentation, and successfully complete workers’ compensation audits. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with U.S.-based insurance companies, strong attention to detail, and the communication skills needed to confidently interact with clients.
The Workers’ Compensation Audit Specialist will manage and execute workers’ compensation audit processes from start to finish. You will communicate directly with clients, explain audit requirements, provide guidance on required documentation, and ensure audits are completed accurately and efficiently.
This is a client-facing role requiring a blend of insurance expertise, administrative precision, and clear communication skills. Because workload may fluctuate week-to-week, the ideal candidate should be comfortable managing changing priorities and supporting operations as needed.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Audit Execution: Conduct workers’ compensation insurance premium audits for clients according to carrier requirements.
- →Client Communication: Communicate directly with policyholders via phone and email regarding audit requirements, timelines, and missing documentation.
- →Documentation Review: Review submitted documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; follow up on missing items.
- →Process Management: Maintain organized records throughout the audit process and guide clients through each step.
- →Problem Resolution: Identify potential issues early and proactively resolve audit-related challenges.
- →Operational Support: Assist internal insurance operations as needed.
Requirements
~1 min read- Previous hands-on experience conducting workers’ compensation insurance audits.
- Experience working with U.S.-based insurance companies, brokers, or carriers preferred.
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation policies and audit procedures.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfort and confidence speaking directly with clients over the phone.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and task-management capabilities.
- Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Can confidently explain complex insurance processes to clients in an accessible manner.
- Thrives in an independent, remote work environment and takes ownership of responsibilities.
- Possesses strong customer service instincts and adapts well to fluctuating workloads.
