Role: Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist
Priority Location: Remote, Philippines & Latin America (LATAM)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm ET
Salary Range: $1,200- $2,500 / month
Type of contract: Independent Contractor
We are a growing insurance operation specializing in workers’ compensation insurance. As our business continues to scale, our team is looking for an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to provide support across claims management, client communication, and insurance operations.
This role will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to help manage workers’ compensation claims efficiently while ensuring a high level of service and communication.
The Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist will support the management of workers’ compensation claims by assisting clients throughout the claims process, coordinating documentation, following up on open items, and ensuring claims move forward efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling workers’ compensation claims, understand the full lifecycle of a claim, and be comfortable communicating directly with clients over phone and email.
Responsibilities

- →Client Engagement: Communicate directly with clients regarding claims updates, questions, guidance, and requirements.
- →Documentation & Tracking: Gather, organize, and maintain accurate claims documentation; track open claims and follow up on outstanding action items.
- →Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate communication between clients, carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and internal teams.
- →Issue Escalation: Monitor claims progress and proactively escalate complex issues when needed.
- →Operational Support: Support additional insurance operations as needed.
Requirements
~1 min read- Previous experience directly handling workers’ compensation claims.
- Experience working with U.S.-based insurance companies, carriers, brokers, or TPAs preferred.
- Solid understanding of workers’ compensation claims lifecycles and administrative procedures.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking directly with clients over phone and email.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on open items.
- Proactive and organized problem-solver who enjoys guiding clients through complex claims processes.
- Able to work independently while maintaining clear, consistent communication with the team.
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks within a changing workload.
- Bonus: Candidates with experience in both workers’ compensation audits and claims handling are especially encouraged to apply, as there is interest in hiring a strong, versatile insurance professional who can support both functions.
