The Nebraska State Historical Society is seeking an energetic team member to join our finance team! This role will be responsible for multiple facets of accounting for the agency, including assisting in accounts payable/receivable, sales tax, and more. Daily deposit documents, reconcile for accuracy, and do the submission to the state treasurer as timeline would dictate.
Journal entries for credit card clearing.
Vouchers for agencies purchase card transactions.

Journal entry for agency’s purchase card transactions.
Monthly sales tax and submit it to Department of Revenue.

Maintain and update vendor files.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Requirements

Must have a basic understanding of Accounting Principles, excellent customer service skills, focus and attention to detail, ability to adapt quickly to new software, and an intermediate level of understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
