This classification level is responsible for working under general supervision and providing a variety of specialized customer service, clerical and administrative support to single court operations and is cross-trained in service areas such as criminal/traffic, civil/small claims, or probate, guardian conservator and adoption. Responsibilities may include: scheduling court hearings, data entry, processing and maintenance of records e.g. entering new case filings, updating case filings; performing cashiering duties such as processing payments (e.g. fines, fees), balancing daily deposits; preparing and submitting routine documents and reports; performing receptionist duties of assisting public and staff by answering general questions regarding court operations for all court case types and procedures.

✓Starting Salary: $40,822.75 annually (Hiring Rate).
✓Immediate Growth: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate).
✓Starting Rate Flexibility: Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval.
✓*Please Note: Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase.
✓Future Increases: Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July 1) are subject to State Legislature approval.

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and 3 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.


All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Positions in this class work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required, not to exceed 20 LBS
