JR2026-00027629 Staff Care Technician II/Transportation Aide (Open)
Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with every other weekend rotation.
Pay: $24.625 to $31.859/hour, depending on experience (Base pay $21.625-$28.859/hour plus $3 for every hour worked). PLUS shift differential of $1-$1.75
Provide medical appointment transportation services locally, surrounding areas, including Omaha. Escorts members to medical appointments. Assists with transfers of members in and out of State vehicles. Assists members with ADL's during appointments and provides privacy in all cars. Transport paperwork and maintains confidentiality of member information. Communicates with nursing staff , other departments, outside facility staff and others as needed. Operates vehicle lift per facility policies and procedures. Serves as an advocate for the member. Represents NDVA in a positive manner.
Provide quality care for each member to maintain quality of life. Maintain dignity and confidentiality of members. Perform routine nursing duties in the general care of elderly members in the Veterans Home. Prepare, administer and document oral and topical medications and treatments. Schedule member appointments via phone or electronically. Communication with VA and medical provider offices. Conduct member inventory including maintaining VA issued member equipment such has hearing aides, classes, etc.
