Asset Management Consultant

Sora Union is a professional services company specializing in brand design and product engineering for businesses, organizations and governments. The Sora Union team is globally distributed and made up of diverse and talented professionals impacted by or at risk of displacement due to conflict or climate change.

The Consultant would bring the financial-services expertise into client engagements and act as the subject-matter partner to the Brand Strategist.

• Lead or contribute to discovery and client conversations with senior stakeholders.
• Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business model, products, audiences, competitive landscape and commercial priorities.
• Translate complex asset-management and investment topics into clear, commercially relevant insights.
• Identify key market trends, client needs, opportunities and challenges that should inform the brand strategy.
• Challenge assumptions and help identify what is genuinely distinctive and credible for the client.
• Provide financial-services context and expertise throughout the brand strategy process.
• Contribute to workshops, strategic discussions and client presentations.
• Work closely with the Brand Strategist to translate business and market insights into meaningful positioning and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure that brand recommendations are commercially relevant, credible within the financial-services context, and aligned with the realities of the asset-management market.

• 7+ years of experience in asset management, wealth management, or related financial services
• Strong understanding of the asset/wealth management ecosystem
• Ability to understand business models, products, audiences and competitive positioning
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking
• Excellent client-facing communication skills
• Ability to interview senior stakeholders and extract meaningful insights
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible language
• Experience with market and competitor research
• Confidence working with senior executives
• Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with brand, strategy, creative and research teams
