We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance services. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing robust back-end systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring the reliability of our distributed services. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of our microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Optimize Backend Services: Build scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Micronaut.
• Microservices Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems in a Kubernetes-based environment.
• Event-Driven Workflows: Work with asynchronous architectures using Temporal and ActiveMQ.
• API Development: Build and refine RESTful APIs, integrating front-end services and third-party providers.
• Data Management: Enhance processing and storage solutions using PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Performance & Security: Proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure scalability, stability, and security.
• Automation & CI/CD: Maintain best practices for software delivery using Jenkins and Git.
• Code Reviews & Mentorship: Collaborate with peers to maintain high coding standards and support junior engineers.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work alongside DevOps and SRE teams to optimize AWS-based deployments.
• Innovation & Research: Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to our technical roadmap.

Skills & Experience We Value

• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
  
• Extensive Back-End Experience: 8+ years in software development.
• Strong Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framwork.
• Industry Experience: FinTech or SaaS environments.
• Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of best practices for microservices and cloud-based applications.
• Database Proficiency: Expertise in PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Cloud & Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and agile methodologies.
• Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English for collaboration in a global, remote-first environment.
