As a Starlink Aviation Test Technician, you will be responsible for building the test systems and infrastructure used to test and produce Starlink Aviation products. Your primary functionality will be to produce, deploy and maintain test racks, fixtures, and harnessing using engineering drawings and internally developed systems. You will work closely with Starlink Aviation design and certification engineers, as well as FAA and other Enterprise partners. SpaceX is looking to provide access for the global aviation fleet to the world wide web - you would be directly involved and hands on with accomplishing this mission!
Responsibilities

- →Support production and qualification by troubleshooting hardware and software, updating documentation, training line technicians, and performing schedule maintenance
- →Manage workload in order to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to critical requests
- →Interpret a variety of sources ranging from controlled, released documentation to informal sketches
- →Identify design gaps; ask directed questions, and apply skill and experience to resolve them, and update documentation to prevent recurrence
- →Maintain clean, stocked, and orderly work area
Requirements
~2 min read- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly
- Associate degree
- 3+ years of experience with hardware testing
- Hands-on experience fabricating and debugging harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and test stations
- Ability to use written and oral communication skills to continually improve designs, processes, working environment, and team morale
- Excellent attention to detail and insistence on verifying work
- Basic knowledge of electronics theory and principles
- Experience with AS9100, IPC-620, and J-STD-001 qualifications
- Experience with electromechanical build processes including iron & hot-air soldering; wire crimping and stripping; machine and hand drilling, shaping, cutting, and joining; 3D plastic printing
- Electrical debug tools including multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer
- Experience with software including Windows and Linux operating systems; SVN and git configuration control; JIRA, Confluence, and TeamCenter content management systems; Altium, Mentor, NX computer-aided design; Python and BASH scripting; text-based and graphical user interfaces; hand truck and forklift
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
