What We Offer
~2 min readWe're looking for a Financial Analyst who can act as a fractional CFO for a book of 10 to 15 clients. This is not a role where you build a model and hand it off. You'll sit with business owners, walk them through their numbers, and help them actually understand what those numbers mean for the decisions in front of them.
The right person for this role:
Serve as a trusted financial advisor for a book of 10 to 15 clients, building financial forecasts that cover gross margins, marketing spend, personnel costs, and owner draws
Develop tailored financial plans that connect a client's short term needs to their long term goals
Build and maintain financial models, budgets, and reporting packages, and analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to spot opportunities and risks
Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting and revenue forecasting process, comparing actual performance to budget for each client
Translate industry best practices into a plain language plan for each client, and tailor future conversations to close the gaps they're facing
Advise clients on expense management, people costs, marketing spend, and owner draws using real industry benchmarks
Work with each client to build out Corporate, Department, and Employee KPIs, and advise on compensation plans that fit their team
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages and forecasts, and set short and long term financial goals alongside each client
Keep clear, accurate records of every client conversation and a running history of each client's progress
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a consulting or advisory capacity
Strong grasp of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, plus a solid understanding of the month end close cycle
Comfort with cash to accrual concepts and the tradeoffs between them
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Proven ability to take complex financial concepts and make them make sense to a small business owner
A genuine desire to keep improving: coachable, curious, and always looking to get better
You'll join a high performing team that lives accountability, discipline, and transparency. You'll work directly with small business owners who are scaling their companies, and every model you build and every call you lead has a direct line to their success. Compensation is competitive, and there's real upside for people who perform.
