What We Offer

~2 min read

We're looking for a Senior Accountant who owns the numbers and the relationship. This isn't a back office bookkeeping role. You'll manage a book of 20 to 25 clients, run the full month end close process, and sit across the table (or the Zoom call) from real business owners who are counting on you to make their financials make sense.

The right person for this role:

Puts the client and the team ahead of their own ego. You ask good questions, take feedback well, and give credit where it's due. You're easy to work with and easy to trust.
Takes real ownership without being asked twice. You don't wait for direction. You drive month end close, chase down what's unclear, and push for clean books by the 15th because "good enough" bothers you.
Is genuinely personable and client facing. You can hop on a call with a roofer, a salon owner, or a contractor, translate a P&L into plain English, and help them actually understand what's driving their business. High emotional intelligence isn't a nice to have here. It's the job.
Medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee + dependents)
401(k) with company match
Paid parental leave
Vacation and sick time that increases with tenure
Fully paid gym membership
Pet insurance
Employee Assistance Program
Professional development reimbursement for outside courses and certifications
Internal mentorship program and extensive internal education resources
Uncapped incentive eligibility
  • Full ownership of general accounting operations for your client book: month end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting

  • Delivering clean, accurate, decision ready financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) by the 15th of each month, in compliance with GAAP and internal policies

  • Managing the chart of accounts and ensuring transactions are properly classified, with daily soft reconciliations

  • Building a correction strategy when needed so a client's financials actually reflect the true story of their business

  • Client calls where you walk owners through their numbers in plain language and help them understand the levers that move their business

  • Performing peer reviews of teammates' client financials, and providing guidance and support to other accounting staff

  • Partnering with your team lead and the broader accounting team, and contributing to process improvement, documentation, and internal controls

  • Driving high client retention (90%+ year over year) through responsiveness, clarity, and genuine care for their business

  • Complete a structured 30 day onboarding and training period

  • Shadow client calls, learn internal systems and processes, and begin owning a handful of client conversations

  • Settle into the team rhythm with regular check ins and peer collaboration

  • Show increasing ownership of close quality and client communication

Requirements

~1 min read
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of progressive general accounting experience (public, private, or client service preferred)

  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger/month end close processes

  • Strong QuickBooks Online experience preferred; comfortable picking up other tools quickly

  • Proven ability to own a full month end close cycle and explain financials clearly to non accountants

  • A genuine desire to keep improving: coachable, curious, and always looking to get better

You'll join a high performing team that lives accountability, discipline, and transparency. You'll work directly with small business owners who are scaling their companies, and you'll see the direct impact of clean numbers and clear communication on their success. Compensation is competitive, incentive metrics are transparent, and there's real upside for people who perform.
