Bank Healthcare Assistant

You will support registered nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care on the Surgical Ward. 

• →Assisting with personal care, monitoring and recording observations, ECGs, phlebotomy manual handling and general ward support in line with clinical standards and care plans.
• →Assisting the team on the surgical ward in the provision of exemplary patient care
• →Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients Supporting nurses and clinicians in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures
• →Accurately documenting patient information and escalating any concerns
• →Providing reassurance and clear information to patients
• →Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role within a hospital or clinical setting
• Private Hospital or NHS Hospital experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Experience in: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations
• Confidence in taking basic clinical observations and carrying out phlebotomy procedures
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekdays and weekends as required
• A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to patient care
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards this qualification) is desirable
