Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our ward team on a flexible working BANK basis. You must be flexible to do both day shifts and night shifts

Duties and responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will help deliver a high standard of care to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting patients with their individual care needs and day-to-day wellbeing
• Assisting the nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the relevant clinical staff
• Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues
• Maintaining accurate patient records in line with hospital policies and data protection requirements
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment
• Supporting infection prevention and control practices across the department

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated individual who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

You will have:

• Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a hospital setting
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience)
• Must be able to take bloods (Phlebotomy)
• Good understanding of basic nursing care
• Basic awareness of health, safety and infection control practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional and patient-focused approach
• Strong team working skills and a willingness to learn
• English language proficiency to IELTS 7.0 standard
