Healthcare Assistant - Pre-Assessment/Spire London East - Redbridge/Bank Ad-Hoc Shifts

Spire London East Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Healthcare Assistant to join the Bank Team in the Pre-Assessment department working ad hoc shifts.

To assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary care in a variety of hospital settings.

• →Undertake routine tasks related to individual’s health and well being
• →Assess the health and wellbeing needs of people whose needs are relatively stable and consistent.
• →Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matter
• →Develop own and others’ personal development.
• →Monitor and maintain health and safety and security for self and others
• →Contribute to the implementation of services
• →Ensure own actions promote quality
• →Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
• →Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

• NVQ Health Awards level 3 competence
• Previous hospital experience in either pre-assessment, surgical ward or outpatients 
• Experience of planning work and acting under own initiative
• Patient/customer facing experience
• Working as part of a team
• Awareness of health safety and hygiene and infection control
• Computer literate and trained in Microsoft Office
