Bank Imaging Administrator | Norwich | Adhoc Shifts When Required |
As an Imaging Administrator, you will support the multidisciplinary team in delivering an exemplary patient experience by providing efficient and accurate administrative support within the Radiology Department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing radiology appointments and coordinating bookings in line with departmental protocols.
- Contacting patients to arrange appointments and liaising with other departments where appropriate.
- Ensuring the accurate completion of audit documentation and the timely distribution of radiology reports.
- Providing pricing information and estimates for self-funding patients undergoing radiology procedures.
- Maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues regarding routine care matters.
- Collecting, collating and reporting routine data and information, including NHS and BUPA activity data.
- Accurately inputting patient information onto hospital and radiology information systems.
- Undertaking general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying and document management.
- Ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Transferring and delivering radiology reports to the appropriate recipients.
- Assisting with the induction and training of new team members where required.
- Supporting health and safety, quality improvement initiatives, equality, diversity and inclusion across the department.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent keyboard and IT skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts between 8am - 6pm
- Previous experience in an administrative or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience using SAP or a similar patient booking system.
