Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading, are seeking a Host and Catering Assistant to join our warm and friendly team on a permanent full-time basis. Spire Dunedin Hospital has been serving the Reading community for over 100 years, as a first-class medical facility. Based in the heart of Reading, the hospital has two theatres, 16 inpatient beds, three recovery bays, Oncology services and an Endoscopy Suite.

*Working Hours:  Monday – Sunday, between the hours of 07:00 – 20:30

• →Supporting our Catering team in delivering a high standard of service to patients on the wards, including helping with menu choices, serving meals, and ensuring regular refreshments. 
• →Assisting our Chefs with basic food preparation, stock rotation, and maintaining cleanliness in our restaurant and kitchen areas. 
• →Providing friendly, attentive service to patients, visitors, and colleagues, always maintaining a professional and approachable manner. 
• →Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are met, with full compliance at all times. 
• →Respecting patient confidentiality and contributing to a calm, welcoming environment.

• Previous experience in catering in a similar environment is essential. 
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is a minimum requirement. 
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a busy setting. 
• A positive, flexible attitude and strong communication skills. 
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service with empathy and professionalism.
