Responsibilities

As Outpatients Team Leader, you will provide visible clinical leadership and operational oversight for nursing services within the outpatient department. Working closely with the Outpatient Manager, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care while supporting the ongoing development of the nursing team.

 

  • →Lead and support the Outpatient nursing team, promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • →Assist the Outpatient Manager in coordinating staffing levels and clinic schedules to ensure safe and effective service provision.
  • →Mentor, coach, and develop team members, supporting the Outpatient Manager with appraisals, training, and professional growth.
  • →Provide clinical support and, where required, deliver direct patient care. Ensure high standards of patient assessment, treatment, and health education.
  • →Promote adherence to best practice, policies, and clinical guidelines. Act as a role model, upholding professional standards and patient dignity.

 

  • NMC registered nurse with a valid pin and no restrictions
  • Essential: Significant experience working within an outpatient setting
  • Confident leading teams in a busy clinical environment
  • Up to date with mandatory training, including infection control and health & safety
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships
  • Passionate about developing others and maintaining high clinical standards
