Spire Little Aston Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatient department on a full time contract. You will join a warm, friendly and supportive team working shifts across Monday-Saturday.

The department is open from 7:30am – 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 2pm on a Saturday. You have the option to work long (12hrs) or shorter days (7.5 hrs) but flexibility to be able to cover all days is required.

• →Assisting nurses with outpatient clinics.
• →As an HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
• →Updating patient records accurately.
• →Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
• →Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
• →Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
• →Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.

• Previous experience working within a clinical setting (ideally outpatients/clinics) is essential
• Phlebotomy training and wound care experience is highly desirable for this role
• As an HCA, you will be fundamental in providing Healthcare Support to our Clinical Team to ensure patients receive the best possible personal care.
• System literacy is essential
• Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic clinical skills and knowledge of patient care.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
