Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a key member of the theatre team, you will support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include
Supporting Nurses and Consultants during surgical procedures.
- →Assisting Scrub Nurses within operating theatres.
- →Supporting patients within the anaesthetic room.
- →Safely transporting patients to and from theatre and wards.
- →Opening sterile packs and preparing equipment for procedures.
- →Preparing, checking and handling surgical instruments.
- →Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and control.
- →Contributing to a safe, efficient and high-quality theatre environment.
- →Providing reassurance and support to patients throughout their theatre experience.

Essential
- A genuine interest in healthcare and patient wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker or within a healthcare environment.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous theatre experience (although full training will be provided).
