Wrapping Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Wrapping position wraps wire per order requirements, completes paperwork, records and enters data, and communicates with supervisors & associates. This position maintains cleanliness of area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Rolls reel to jack and place on jack

• Welds new reel wire to previous reel ending

• Sets up machine per order requirements

• Frequently checks machining process for accuracy

• Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire

• Monitors processes & controls to assure quality, then properly completes labels

• Places completed reel in designated location, and communicate with supervisors & associates

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum Experience Required

• Entry level

License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions

• Ability to use & read micrometers to measure wire, and use tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer

• Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices. Maintain cleanliness of area
