GSE Mechanic (Panel Beater)

Assist in performing body repair and maintenance work on Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE), vehicles, and other equipment efficiently and effectively in a timely manner, either independently or as directed by the Supervisor/Engineer. Job Accountabilities: Assist in installing and repairing side mirrors, windshield wipers, door winders, radiators, seats and relevant other vehicle body components in order to meet the factory condition. Assist in carrying out repairs of damaged or faulty parts by straightening, welding, machining or hand-making new metal parts and repairing vehicle/equipment bodies back in order to meet the factory condition. Use OXY, ARC, TIG and MIG welding, hand-fitting or machining process to replace or repair faulty parts. Maintain good housekeeping standards & work in a safe manner to avoid damaging equipment, tools, components, engines, accessories etc. Assist in carrying out disassembly/ repair/ assembly/ testing inspections of components in compliance with regularity standards and escalate them to the superior/Senior Technician / Technician where necessary. Verify vehicle/GSE serviceability by conducting test drives; Vehicle positioning, adjusting controls and systems to release equipment/vehicles on time. Requirements 6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 Credits including a pass for English and full trade qualification which the duration should be more than 2 years (Panel Beater), and should possess a light/heavy vehicle driving license. OR 6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 Credits including a pass for English and NVQ Level 4 certificate which the duration should be more than 2 years (Panel Beater), and should possess a light/heavy vehicle driving license. The upper age limit should be 30 years as of 05th November 2026, which is the closing date. Be a Sri Lankan Citizen. Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
