Pay: $45–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a growing company seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber with a strong background in commercial boiler installations, replacements, and mechanical piping systems.

This position focuses on installing and replacing steam boilers, hydronic boilers, and commercial water heaters in multi-family residential buildings, apartment complexes, and other commercial properties throughout the Chicago area.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial plumbing experience, understands boiler and hydronic heating systems, and can independently manage installation projects from material preparation and piping layout through system startup and completion.

  Install and replace commercial steam boilers, hydronic boilers, and commercial water heaters.

  Install, modify, and connect plumbing and mechanical piping associated with commercial heating systems.

  Lay out, measure, cut, thread, fabricate, and install piping, pumps, valves, and related equipment.

  Read and interpret piping diagrams, project specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions.

  Prepare materials, organize daily work activities, and coordinate installation tasks.

  Lead installations and support other tradespeople to ensure projects meet safety and quality standards.

  Coordinate equipment removal, placement, and system shutdowns as needed.

  Troubleshoot field conditions and resolve plumbing and installation challenges.

  Communicate project progress, material needs, and field issues with the office and customers.

  Assist with system testing, startup, and final project completion.

  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.

• Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber, preferably with commercial boiler installation and replacement.

• Working knowledge of steam and hydronic heating systems.

• Experience installing commercial water heaters and associated piping.

• Strong plumbing, pipe layout, measurement, fabrication, and installation skills.

• Ability to independently manage installations and make sound field decisions with minimal supervision.

• Ability to read and follow piping diagrams, specifications, and equipment installation requirements.

• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.

• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship.

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
