Lead Laundry Worker

Do you like leading by example, and want your work to mean something? St. Joseph’s Center is looking for a Lead Laundry Worker to guide our laundry team and keep our operation running smoothly. You’ll support the team and make sure every item goes back cared for and on time. Each day, your work gives comfort to the residents we serve.

• →Act as lead worker in the laundry room, giving out daily assignments and making sure work is done efficiently and to standard
• →Wash, sort, pre-treat, dry and fold laundry, linens and residents’ personal clothing with care and attention to detail
• →Load, deliver and collect laundry carts across the Main Center, apartment building, pool areas and Day Programs
• →Follow infection control and safety procedures to keep laundry areas clean, sanitary and free of hazards
• →Maintain laundry equipment, monitor chemical and linen supplies, and report equipment problems and supply needs promptly
• →Show new laundry workers the correct procedures and keep management updated on operations

• Compensation - Starting at $14.93 per hour based on experience and responsibilities.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience or training in the proper maintenance of laundry equipment
• Minimum of one (1) year of laundry experience, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care or institutional setting.
