This position does not come with school provided housing.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou’ll be a teacher, mentor, and co-creator of learning. Your role will include:
- →Teaching one section of Spanish III, which meets (during regular 5-day weeks) on Mondays 8:00-9:05 a.m., Tuesdays 12:55-2:00 p.m., and Thursdays 11:15 a.m.-12:20 p.m. (Note: the schedule will shift during 4-day and 3-day weeks.)
- →The opportunity to also cover a section of Spanish I may be possible, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability and the School’s needs.
- →Giving meaningful, timely feedback that challenges and inspires
- →Collaborating with department colleagues
- A degree in Spanish or a related, interdisciplinary field is essential
- Native or near-native language skills in Spanish and English
- Some experience teaching at the secondary level (2+ years preferred)
- Ability to connect with diverse learners and teach inclusively
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort with educational tech tools (Google Suite, etc.)
- A warm, close-knit community of students and colleagues
