LIBRE Regional Field Manager, PA - Harrisburg

As a Regional Field Manager (internally called a Grassroots Engagement Director), you’ll recruit and mobilize grassroots leaders across the Harrisburg Tri-County area in Pennsylvania and inspire them to take action and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all. This is a hands-on community organizing role for someone who loves meeting people and building movements.

Find and develop local activists who are, or could become, leaders in their communities

Equip them to advocate for change using LIBRE’s training and resources

Organize phone banks, social media outreach, and neighborhood canvassing, and come up with creative ways to educate people on public policy issues

Keep activists motivated, informed, and active through regular contact

Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, legal compliance, and best practices

Passion for people and a knack for quickly building relationships with people from all walks of life

Knowledge of state and federal public policy

Self-motivation and strong organization to keep multiple events and activities on track

A team-first approach with LIBRE staff and activists

Excitement to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action endorsed candidates, and to motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same

A valid driver’s license for travel across the Harrisburg area and Pennsylvania 

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Fluency in Spanish and English

Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, or political campaigns

Volunteer or staff supervisory experience
