Job Description for Clinical Director, WP BHC

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a division of Saint Joseph's Medical Center, has a full-time position for a Clinical Director for our White Plains Behavioral Health Center serving the White Plains area of Westchester. The candidate would be responsible for the following: establishing and maintaining treatment approach and quality improvement activities for the program, ensuring that patients are treated in accordance with the highest best-practice standards, providing clinical leadership and teaching to the interdisciplinary staff and trainees of the program, supervising direct-care medical staff consisting of PNPs and other psychiatrists, organizing program rounds and staff meetings, performing diagnostic assessments and evaluations of patients’ treatment needs, providing direct psychiatric care that is responsive to the needs of the patient and reflects the expertise in the physician's specialty area, collaborates with family members and other individuals or agencies involved in the patient's treatment. In close collaboration with the administrative Program Director, the Clinical Director helps to ensure effective oversight of clinic operations and program requirements, including meeting the program's budgetary goals, and fostering an integrated, mutually supportive multidisciplinary team, both within the clinic as well with fellow psychiatric staff throughout the larger St. Vincent's/St. Joseph's hospital system. The candidate will also work closely with the White Plains Hospital Primary Care clinic housed in the same building, and other White Plains Hospital affiliated medical services in treating mutual patients.

Faculty appointment at New York Medical College is possible if interested in teaching in our newly accredited psychiatry residency training program. We offer a competitive salary and a benefits package depending on the number of hours worked. Board certification is preferred but will consider board eligible.
