Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join our Digital team.

In this role, you will drive the technical development of our existing data warehouse, bringing together data from across the company and turning it into reliable, well-structured datasets for reporting and analytics. You will work closely with teams such as Finance, Asset Management, Business Development, and Product to understand their requirements and translate them into robust data models and transformations.

What You’ll Do (Tasks & Responsibilities)

• Expand our existing data warehouse by integrating data from internal and external sources, prioritised around business needs
• Work with stakeholders across Finance, Asset Management, Business Development, and Product to translate requirements, metric definitions, and business rules into technical solutions
• Design, build, and optimise data models and dbt transformations that provide consistent, reusable datasets for reporting and analytics
• Ensure data reliability through automated testing, reconciliation, monitoring, and clear documentation of definitions and lineage
• Maintain and improve data workflows, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with Software Engineering and Application Operations on performance and reliable operation
• Perform exploratory analyses to validate data, investigate patterns, and support cross-functional analytical questions
• Enable reporting, exploratory analysis, and future AI-supported insights through well-structured and trusted datasets, technical guidance, and selected dashboards and analyses
  

What You Bring (Qualifications and Professional Competencies)

• Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a technically focused analytics role
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt, data warehouse design, and dimensional modelling
• Experience integrating multiple data sources through ETL/ELT workflows, with working proficiency in Python for processing and automation
• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable data models and calculation logic, supported by automated tests, reconciliation, and documentation
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, BI tools, and software engineering practices such as version control, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Additional plus:
  • Experience with financial, asset, transactional, or e-commerce data
  • Experience with event-driven data architectures and columnar data stores
  • Experience enabling AI-assisted analytics or natural-language querying over governed datasets
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimentation
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
