Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Federal Compliance: Align site operations with DOE Orders, Federal Sustainability Plans, and executive orders on climate resilience.
- →Decarbonization Tracking: Monitor and report greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories utilizing federal carbon accounting frameworks.
- →Energy Resilience: Collaborate with facility engineers on microgrid, renewable energy, and smart-meter implementation projects.
- →Waste & Materials: Manage compliance for hazardous and non-hazardous waste diversion, focusing on federal circular economy targets.
- →Water Stewardship: Design and execute water-use efficiency programs for complex facility infrastructure and cooling systems.
- →Reporting Coordination: Aggregate facility utility and emission data to complete mandatory annual Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST) and sustainability dashboards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years managing sustainability or environmental compliance programs, preferably within federal or highly regulated sectors.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE 'L' or 'Q' security clearance as required by the facility.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Greenhouse Gas Protocol guidelines and federal data management systems.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED AP, or Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) training.
- Agency Knowledge: Direct familiarity with DOE Order 436.1 (Departmental Sustainability) and related federal site handbooks.

Oak Ridge, TN. Onsite only.
