Intermediate 3D Designer

• →3D modeling from conceptual phase through to fabrication, assemblies, and installation
• →Design for fabrication – we build everything we design, so prototyping and close interaction with the shop floor and CNC machines is critical;
• →Creation of fabrication drawings and CNC files;
• →Working with fabrication crews and CNC machines to ensure models are translated accurately into human- and machine-readable information;
• →Production of detailed drawings for approval, engineering, and production;
• →Coordinate design information with external teams, engineers, and contractors;
• →Standardization of connections, fasteners & fabrication techniques to improve production efficiency;
• →Continual improvement of design & drafting process to improve efficiency and reduce design cycle times;
• →Manage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines;
• →Maintaining and growing construction industry technical knowledge.

• Must have completion of minimum 2-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology;
• Must have a minimum three years of experience
• Knowledge in drafting standards and principles
• Good knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and a strong aptitude for spatial reasoning
• Strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language, both orally
• and in writing
• Strong computer skills and proficiency
• Strong knowledge of Rhino software
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as HSB CAD, Revit,
• TEKLA Structures, Bluebeam, or equivalent software.
• Knowledge and experience with timber design & detailing
• Knowledge of steel design & detailing
• A desire to learn and continually develop;
• Team player, able to prioritize tasks with exceptional organizational skills;
• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

You will be working with many of our staff and reporting to our 3D Design & Drafting Manager.
