Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking a passionate, driven, and highly motivated Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial electrical projects. IPS is a high level industrial electrical and controls contractor delivering design to install solutions across industries including water and wastewater, manufacturing, and food processing.

Our Electrical Superintendents play a key role in maintaining IPS's reputation for delivering first class results on complex projects. The right candidate will bring strong field leadership, electrical construction experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork. Responsibilities

  • →Oversee electrical construction projects and execute project schedules and plans.
  • →Lead field operations while maintaining a strong Field First culture.
  • →Plan and track labor to support productivity and project goals.
  • →Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily field activities.
  • →Provide technical interpretation and support to field teams.
  • →Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support proper installation.
  • →Ensure all work meets IPS quality standards and project requirements.
  • →Ensure all employees and subcontractors follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • →Coordinate with General Contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, customers, and other project partners.
  • →Communicate project progress, challenges, and needs with Project Managers and leadership.
  • →Identify opportunities to improve productivity, installation methods, and project execution.
  • →Maintain positive working relationships with customers, employees, subcontractors, and project partners.
  • →Support training and development of field employees.
  • →Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • →Eliminate waste and improve work processes wherever possible.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, manpower planning, and productivity.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with General Contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve field issues in a timely manner.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently while leading and supporting field teams.
  • Industrial electrical construction experience.
  • Experience with water and wastewater, manufacturing, food processing, or other industrial projects.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical trade experience.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience leading multiple electrical crews.
  • Experience working with project schedules, labor tracking, and productivity planning.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required by project needs.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work areas.
  • Ability to walk and work on uneven surfaces and active construction sites.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in confined or congested areas.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
