Senior VFX Artist

POSITION SUMMARY

Sunrise is looking for Visual Effects Artists to join our growing team. 2027 is shaping up to be an exciting year, & we’d love to have you onboard.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of VFX experience
• A good technical understanding of FX tools in Houdini
• Able to work efficiently and deliver shots within a reasonable time
• A keen artistic eye for creating natural and appealing FX
• Able to work in a highly collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong understanding of the CG pipeline and how VFX collaborates with other departments
• Established knowledge of colour theory and its application in shading for VFX elements
• Proficient in optimising various effects caches to only what is needed, and attaching important data for use in compositing
• Proactive in looking out for new tools and algorithms that can aid efficiency or quality of the work produced
• Well versed in simulation work, as well as art direct-able procedural solutions to complete the task at hand. The successful candidate should be able to know when to use simulation and when to use a procedural solution

SPECIFIC SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of Vex a plus
• Knowledge of Python a plus
• Knowledge of PDG a plus
• Knowledge of USD a plus
