Sunrise Group is building the future of sleep health by combining breakthrough technology with expert care. We started in 2015 with a straightforward idea: sleep diagnosis should happen in the comfort of your own home, not in a hospital. To make that possible, we created a first-of-its-kind chin sensor, carefully validated through clinical research, reviewed by leading sleep experts, and cleared by the FDA.

Since then, Sunrise Group has grown from a single innovation into a complete sleep health company. We now design advanced diagnostic and treatment solutions, and we deliver care directly to patients through Dreem Health, our digital sleep clinic. By serving patients in all 50 states with reimbursed care, we are making sleep treatment more accessible, more personal, and much simpler than it has ever been.

We're creating a unique role combining leadership of the Medical Devices R&D team with product management of medical devices and their associated digital platforms — giving devices a strong product voice, directly connected to development, data, clinical, and industrialization teams, and informed by feedback from patients and physician users.

As Head of Medical Devices, you will define and execute the roadmap for our Diagnostic and Treatment medical devices and their associated platforms, from product strategy through deployment and post-launch evolution, while leading a team of hardware, clinical, and industrialization experts.

  • Own the product roadmap for Dx (diagnostic sensors, platform evolutions, geographic expansion) and Tx (from clinical study program through to commercialization), aligning it with reimbursement windows
  • Drive physician adoption: setting up practitioner satisfaction measurement, improving review platforms and admin portals, and onboarding programs
  • Organize structured capture of user feedback — from patients (usage, comfort, adherence) and physicians (review workflow) — and translate it into prioritized product evolutions
  • Govern conditional roadmap decisions: instructing and reviewing gates (technical triggers, field feedback, regulatory windows), within defined budgets
  • Arbitrate cost / performance / manufacturability / time-to-market trade-offs, drawing on the team's expertise
  • Act as the single product interface with the software development team, the data team (sleep analysis algorithms: product requirements, prioritization, validation of evolutions), clinical, growth, and marketing/communications (product messaging)
  • Contribute to strategic product decisions with the CPO and CEO: competitive positioning of devices, positioning of the model and associated business models
  • Lead and grow the Medical Devices team
  • Leverage the team's senior technical expertise
  • Ensure skills development (junior progression plan, scaling up industrialization capabilities)
  • Drive device program milestones: clinical studies, version transitions, industrialization of new references
  • Contribute to market launches in collaboration with commercial teams: device rollout aligned with market access and reimbursement strategies
  • Oversee the product relationship with industrial partners and critical suppliers
  • Ensure consistency between the product roadmap and the industrial plan (volumes, target costs, supply)
  • Extensive experience in the medical device industry, including significant experience in product management or product ownership (not purely engineering)
  • Has already taken a medtech product from development through to market launch (ideally Class IIa, US and/or EU)
  • Understanding of medtech reimbursement mechanisms (US and/or EU) and their impact on product decisions
  • Proven management of a technical team
  • Solid understanding of regulated environments (FDA, EU MDR) — without needing to be an expert in them
  • Demonstrated ability to arbitrate between stakeholders with diverging interests (clinical, dev, data, industrial, business)
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Experience with wearables, physiological sensors, or patient monitoring
  • Experience with a product combining hardware and a software platform (companion app, clinician portal, SaMD)
  • Experience with a product aimed at healthcare professionals (practitioner adoption, clinical workflow)
  • Exposure to the US healthcare market (reimbursement, DME, clinics)
  • Scale-up experience: transitioning from pilot series to volume production
  • Knowledge of sleep medicine
