Packaging Industrial Engineer Sols Lead

The Packaging Industrial Engineer Sols Lead role has a national salary range of $85,000- $150,000.  DHL Supply Chain offers multiple benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Discounted Stock Purchase, General Bonus Plan and a generous PTO policy.

The Industrial Engineer Solutions Lead will provide account teams and customers with leadership in solution design of our Packaging Services product. Role will be aligned internally to support Operations, Business Development, and Finance, to design solutions that drive growth and profitability to DHL. Establishes and maintains knowledge of all existing packaging operations for use in proposal generation, pricing and other uses within the company.

Responsibilities

·       Associate will work with Business Development and Operations resources in designing effective customer and internal optimization solutions to grow or make more profitable the DHL Packaging Services business

·       Solution design will include detailed review of customer specifications, pricing, line design, engineering of operational layout, equipment solutions

·       Support BD and operations with customer interaction and act as lead technical SME for solution design

·       Support development of and participate in customer presentations as required

·       Support operational implementation of designed solutions as required

·       Stay active within the Packaging industry to ensure DHL is providing industry leading and cost effective solutions

·       Technical skills needed (depends on the account scope, likely project nature, etc.): Detail oriented, Experience with operations and packaging to include equipment, pricing development, operational line design and flow, Customer management, Project & time management

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing, contract packaging, or related businesses and/or operations
• Experience and deep understanding of DHL related packaging solutions
• High proficiency in Microsoft’s suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Project)
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Negotiation experience and skills with Customers and Vendors
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
