Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: First Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:30pm

Pay: $18.95

Core Duties:

Ability to work specified shift X Ability to work for the set wage amount X Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules X Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions X Excellent customer service and communication skills X Able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift X Able to operate various office equipment as needed X Able to perform simple math calculations X Able to identify and locate product which requires reading, counting, and printing X Able to operate spreadsheet software applications X Able to operate word processing applications X Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers X Able to interpret material X Able to write numeric and alphanumeric characters.

Role Purpose:

 

Efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications, while meeting all quality standards.

Oversees the activities of associates assigned to specific packing area/product.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Package product into bags, boxes, or totes per customer specifications.
  • Document quality checks and enter into the system.
  • Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
  • Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
  • Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling and or weight against specs.
  • Follow all safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
  • Must be able to perform all duties of packaging operator II.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
  • Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
  • Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
