The core responsibilities of the role include:

Conducted inbound and outbound shipment inspections by verifying product counts, comparing inventory to manifests and customer orders, and ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, labeling, and condition.
Identified and reported shortages, damages, mis-shipments, and product quality concerns while maintaining accurate documentation and shipping records.
Operated forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload freight, support inventory counts, and maintain a safe, secure, and organized warehouse environment.

Position: Packaging Operator 1

Shift: 1^st Shift

Hours: 7 AM – 3 PM

Days: Monday-Friday

Pay: $18.95

Required Qualifications: Strong attention to detail, strong safety adherence, ability to work standing for long periods of time, computer experience, and experience working in a WMS system with RF guns.

Role Purpose:

Efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications, while meeting all quality standards.

Oversees the activities of associates assigned to specific packing area/product.

Key Accountabilities:

Package product into bags, boxes, or totes per customer specifications.
Document quality checks and enter into the system.
Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling and or weight against specs.
Follow all safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
Must be able to perform all duties of packaging operator II.
Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.
