Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• →Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• →Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their owners
• →Maintain cleanliness and organization of hospital and equipment
• →Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
• →Participate in the care and feeding of hospitalized patients
• →Adhere to hospital core values, policies and procedures at all times
• →Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the highest standard of patient care

• Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or similar setting is preferred
• Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds or heavier
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays
• Willingness to learn and take direction from veterinarians and senior staff members
• Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
