We are seeking an experienced Controls Program Manager to lead the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of building controls and monitoring systems within a mission-critical environment. This role serves as the primary technical owner for BMS, BAS, SCADA, PLC, and related control systems, ensuring operational readiness, system integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.
Own and maintain the performance, reliability, and operational readiness of all controls and monitoring systems.
Provide technical leadership for BMS, BAS, SCADA, PLCs, alarm management, monitoring platforms, and system integrations.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate controls-related maintenance, upgrades, commissioning activities, and vendor-supported work.
Review and provide technical oversight of programming changes, testing plans, maintenance activities, and operational procedures.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams to support projects and system enhancements.
Maintain controls documentation, system architecture records, alarm matrices, network diagrams, and change management records.
Deliver training and technical coaching to operations and maintenance teams.
Provide technical escalation support during critical incidents and emergency response events.
Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, and operational standards.
Communicate system status, risks, performance trends, and project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Controls, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience supporting controls systems in mission-critical, industrial, manufacturing, or data center environments.
Strong expertise in BMS, BAS, SCADA, PLCs, automation systems, alarm management, trending, controls logic, and system integrations.
Experience with commissioning, vendor management, maintenance planning, and change management processes.
Proven ability to develop procedures, training materials, and technical documentation.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Technical school, military, or mission-critical operations experience is a plus.
Data centers, critical facilities, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, utility, or other highly regulated environments.
Experience working with system integrators, commissioning agents, and third-party service providers.
Knowledge of CMMS platforms, operational procedures (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs), and critical facility operations.
