Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Java programming language, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supports program objectives to include software development in a collaborative agile environment.
Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years in software engineering or related experience.
2+ years of experience with Java for production level software.
Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.

Desired Skills and Experience

Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
Experience with messaging frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka).
Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
