Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 8+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern programming languages, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supports program objectives to include development, maintenance, and enhancement of frontend and backend applications.
Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
Able to lead small high performing team of developers across the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygrpah.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
8+ years in software engineering or related experience.
3+ Experience with C/C++ development (C++11 or newer).
3+ Experience with front end development (JavaScript, CSS).
Experience with containerization (Docker).
Experience with database systems (MongoDB).
Experience leading agile teams and implementing agile best practices.
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with Agile Methodology.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
Knowledgeable in satellite flight systems and ground-based mission systems (COSMOS, NASA CFS).

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
